"Oh, potatoes, delicious …" and the words of the famous song are spinning in my tongue when I am going to cook this delicious dish again. Initially, the basis of this recipe was spied on by Jamie Oliver, but I made changes to my taste, it turns out a delicious, satisfying, completely self-sufficient dish that can serve as an excellent side dish for meat or fish.
We will prepare the necessary products. The amount of garlic can be safely increased, it gives a very spicy note here and itself turns out to be very tasty. It is better to take potatoes that are not boiled, suitable for frying.
Wash the potatoes, peel and cut into large cubes of about 1.5-2 cm.
Put potatoes in a deep frying pan or stewpan, pour hot water over them, bring to a boil and cook for about 10 minutes.
At this time, peel the garlic and crush each clove with the flat side of a knife.
10 minutes have passed, we drain the potatoes through a colander and leave them for 5 minutes, during which time all the liquid will drain and it will dry out.
Heat olive oil in a frying pan and add garlic to it.
As soon as it grinds, add the potatoes, sprinkle with thyme and put pieces of butter on top. We continue to cook the potatoes over medium heat for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, you can additionally crush the garlic with a spatula.
Serve the fried potatoes with garlic, of course hot, best with fresh herbs and vegetables.
