Colorful, hearty and delicious fried rice with green peas and corn is a great option for a quick lunch or dinner.
Rice - 1 cup (250-300 ml)
Water - 2 cups (500-600 ml)
Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.
Butter - 10-20 g (optional)
Onions - 1 pc.
Garlic - 3 cloves
Frozen corn - 150-200 g
Frozen green peas - 150-200 g
Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper - to taste
Green onions - 2-3 stalks (optional)

Rice with corn and green peas is a great option for a simple, hearty and tasty dish that can be whipped up and served as a side dish or as an independent dish. Cooked with boiled rice, flavored onions, frozen (or canned) green peas and corn, the dish turns out to be bright and colorful in appearance, nutritious and very appetizing in taste. Try it!
You will need these ingredients for cooking.
Rinse 1 cup (250-300 ml) long grain rice thoroughly with cold water and strain.
Place the rice in a saucepan, add 2 cups (500-600 ml) hot or warm water, add 1-2 pinches of salt and bring the mixture to a boil. When the water boils, cover the pot with a lid and, with the heat reduced to low, cook the rice for another 12-13 minutes, or until the water is completely absorbed.
While the rice is cooking, measure the vegetable and butter into a skillet and heat over medium heat.
When the oil has warmed up, add finely chopped onions and, stirring occasionally, fry for 6-7 minutes, until soft and golden brown.
Then add the finely chopped garlic and sauté for another 60-90 seconds.
Add frozen green peas and corn. Stirring, sauté the vegetables over high heat for another 4-6 minutes, until the peas and corn are cooked to the desired degree.
Pour in the soy sauce, stir and fry for another 40-60 seconds.
Reduce heat and add rice to the skillet. While stirring, fry the mixture for another 1-2 minutes.
Season with salt and ground black pepper to taste, cover the pan with a lid and let the dish steep for 5 minutes.
Sprinkle chopped green onions on top of the dish before serving.
Rice with corn and green peas is ready.
