A very beautiful side dish of glazed carrots with thyme can be prepared for the festive table. This garnish goes well with both meat and fish. I first saw it in one of the culinary shows, where the judges praised this side dish very much, I decided to keep up with the great culinary experts and cooked such a carrot. Very tasty, bright, the carrots are not completely boiled, they keep their shape and retain all their useful substances!
We will prepare all the products according to the list. The sugar in this recipe can optionally be replaced with honey, but not floral.
First of all, we will clean the carrots with a vegetable cutter. Cut off the tops, leaving small tails for beauty.
Boil water in a saucepan and blanch the carrots for literally 4-5 minutes. Discard the carrots in a colander.
Pour olive oil or any odorless vegetable oil into the pan and heat it up. Only after that we put the butter in the pan and let it melt completely.
If you have a small pan, cook the carrots in several passes. It is necessary that the carrots were in a pan in one layer.
Add salt, sugar and dried thyme to the carrots in the pan.
Fry the carrots until soft and golden brown for 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. We check the readiness of the carrots with a fork or knife.
