I do not know about your husbands, but my husband categorically does not eat zucchini, no matter how I cook them. But there is one exception - he eats these zucchini with pleasure, and the whole point is that I add a little spicy adjika to the sauce.

Stewed zucchini in tomato sauce is a fairly simple dish to prepare, with a minimum of ingredients, but there are some guidelines for its preparation, which I give below.

You can take tomato sauce both from the store and your own preparation, the same applies to adjika. The only thing is, if you have not enough or no garlic in adjika, then just add a couple of cloves to the dish. We will use lemon juice to regulate the taste of the sauce - you may need 1 tsp. sugar, for the same purpose, it all depends on how the tomato sauce and adjika will be combined with each other, which you will use.

Wash the zucchini, cut off the ends and cut the zucchini first into circles, and then cut the circles in half.

In a frying pan in vegetable oil, fry the zucchini for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add salt and black pepper.

Pour tomato sauce or ketchup into a skillet.

Let's add adjika. Adjust the amount of adjika to your taste. At this stage, you should add garlic to the dish, if you have adjika without it. Just run the garlic through a press.

Reduce heat to low and simmer zucchini in tomato sauce for 7-10 minutes, until the zucchini is soft. Now it remains to adjust the taste of the sauce: if it is bland, add a little lemon juice, if sour, add sugar.

Chop the dill and add it to the dish at the very end of cooking, just a couple of minutes before cooking, mix everything again.

Stewed zucchini in tomato sauce, prepared according to this recipe, will definitely appeal to lovers of spicy vegetable dishes!

Enjoy your meal!
