Rustic potatoes in the microwave will turn out colorful, steamed, juicy and incredibly tasty, with a bright garlic aroma! No one will ever believe you that you could create such a bright dish in 10-12 minutes in the microwave, but this will be the true truth! I highly recommend purchasing quality ground paprika from grandmothers on the market to taste it. It is better not to buy a store version of such a spice at all - it has neither taste nor sweetness, it does not give the dishes color, like a real oven-dried spice.
Also, do not forget that garlic is added to the dish after it has been cooked, otherwise its aroma will dull, boil over, and even the garlic taste will not remain in the dish. But the compressed peeled vegetable teeth perfectly reveal the aroma when in contact with hot potato wedges!
So, get the ingredients you need ready and start cooking!
Wash the potatoes in warm water, peeling them with the hard side of a sponge. If there are black spots or dark spots on the vegetable, cut them out.
It is best to use potatoes that are pink, purple or bright yellow - these varieties are designed for frying and baking. They perfectly retain their shape, while the pulp becomes friable and crumbly inside. Cut each washed tuber horizontally in half, then into wedges. Place them in a deep microwave safe container.
Season with salt and ground black pepper to taste.
Pour in ground paprika and pour in vegetable oil.
Thoroughly mix the entire contents of the container with each other so that it is covered with spicy oil. Pour warm water into the container from the side - it is needed so that the potato slices are steamed and become soft, crumbly. Cover the top with a plate without pictures or a special lid and place in the microwave, turning on the timer for 10-12 minutes, depending on the power of the technique.
Peel the garlic cloves, rinse and press into a container with potatoes, pulling it out of the appliance after a beep. Mix gently, being careful not to crush the wedges.
Put the rustic potatoes cooked in the microwave on plates or on a dish, sprinkle with chopped fresh herbs, serve with sour cream.
