I sometimes cook saffron rice when I just want rice for a side dish, but rice in its usual form, just boiled in water, is boring and uninteresting … But the combination of basmati rice, saffron and butter is very interesting. The side dish turns out to be simple and at the same time delicious. He's good for a chicken.
So what do we need? Prepare basmati rice, saffron, butter, salt and hot water. I propose to cook saffron rice in a slow cooker, but this is not the main rule, if you wish, you can cook rice on the stove. Rinse the rice and transfer to the saucepan of the multicooker.
Add butter and saffron to the rice.
Season the rice with salt.
Pour in the freshly boiled water from the kettle and mix it all. Close the lid of the multicooker.
Cook saffron rice in a slow cooker on the grits program for 25 minutes. This is what the finished dish looks like.
