Step by step recipe with photo

Recently, I introduced you to a rice dish with mash and spices, and today I want to share another delicious dish, but with a slightly different and simpler combination. Mung bean is rich in vitamin C and contains a huge amount of vegetable protein, and it also has cleansing properties, therefore it is very useful for our body. Also, this dish is great for fasting.

To prepare this side dish, we need long-grain rice, mung bean, onions, carrots, black pepper, salt and corn oil.

Be sure to soak the mash in water for 1 hour. Then rinse well with running water.

Finely chop the onion and dice the carrots.

Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the onions and carrots until the onions become transparent.

Add mung bean to the pan and pour 350 ml of water. Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes over low heat.

Then the mung bean should be tried, if it bites easily, then you can add rice.

Add water to the pan again so that it covers the rice and mung bean by 1 cm. Add salt and pepper to taste, stir. Cover the pan with a lid and cook until the rice is done.

Serve as an independent dish during fasting or as a side dish for meat or poultry.

Enjoy your meal!!!
