Millet with onions is not only a great side dish for cutlets or goulash, by the way, it is no worse than other cereals, but also a wonderful option for breakfast. Onions and butter complement the millet as needed, turning it from dry cereal into a delicate, creamy porridge. So rather take the ingredients, and there are not so many of them, and cook millet porridge with onions!

Cut the onion into small cubes, so that it is almost invisible in the porridge.

Put it in a hot frying pan with butter and simmer over medium heat for just a couple of minutes. The onion should become softer, more transparent, not fried.

Meanwhile, thoroughly rinse the millet under warm running water until it is transparent. It took me a few minutes to do this. Then we spread the cereals to the onions in the pan and heat everything together for another 2-3 minutes.

Now salt a little and pour in hot water. We put on the fire and cook the porridge until cooked over low heat. It will take less than 10 minutes.
