Opponents of cereals often have no idea how you can eat oatmeal, and even on the water, considering it a completely tasteless dish. But this recipe will dispel all the myths about "water" oatmeal.
We'll whip up oatmeal in the microwave with water. The main ingredients are just the oatmeal itself, salt and water. But to make the porridge really tasty, we will definitely use butter and honey / sugar for sweetness. But then turn on your imagination and throw into the porridge everything that you love that is in the house: fruits and dried fruits, berries, nuts and seeds, spices and so on. I use a very successful combination of apples, cinnamon and raisins, and I also put in roasted pumpkin seeds for nutritious porridge.
First you need to prepare what we will "stuff" the porridge with. It doesn't matter what you use here - bananas, prunes, coconut. The main thing is that all the ingredients are ready to be added to the porridge before cooking!
I peel the apples and cut them into arbitrary cubes.
I soak the raisins in boiling water for 7-10 minutes, dry them, remove the tails if necessary. I also have pumpkin seeds, cinnamon, butter and honey ready.
Now is the time for the oatmeal itself. Take a deep plate, preferably 2-3 times the volume of flakes and water. We only need it for cooking porridge in the microwave. Pour in the instant oatmeal (I have it for three minutes), fill it with water and add a pinch of salt.
We put in the microwave oven at the highest power (in my case - 800 watts) and cook as follows …
If you poured it with hot water / boiling water, then keep it in the oven for 30 seconds, then take it out, stir it and look at the consistency. Liquid - we cook further, checking the density every 15 seconds, until the flakes swell to the consistency we need. If oatmeal was poured with room / cold water - at the first stage we hold for a minute, and then, according to the same scheme, we cook to the desired consistency.
Immediately throw butter, honey and all those additives that we have prepared into the swollen flakes. In my case: raisins, apples, pumpkin seeds. Some of the components can be left to serve porridge to the table.
Stir and transfer to serving plates. You can also serve in this bowl if, for example, you cooked one portion and there is no time for serving.
At first, I cooked oatmeal in water in the microwave for one, but later I finished one more portion and, when serving the porridge, I decorated it with apples, seeds and sprinkled with cinnamon. Beauty, not breakfast. Enjoy your meal!
Important additions to the recipe
Much depends on your microwave oven in this recipe. The main thing is to try and understand the cooking mechanism in your device, and then the process will become even easier.
- Also, a lot depends on the oatmeal. For five and ten minute flakes, the cooking time will take slightly longer. Flakes that require a three-minute boil swell instantly, and therefore the dish cooks very quickly.
