Slow Cooker Instructions
- Place chicken breasts, chicken broth, and ranch seasoning in the slow cooker. Top with the block of cream cheese.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4-6 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken and shred it with two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.
- Spoon the mixture onto toasted buns and serve immediately.
Notes
Toasting Buns: For best results, butter the inside of your buns and toast them in a hot skillet until golden brown before adding the filling.
Make-Ahead: The chicken mixture can be made up to 2 days in advance and stored in the refrigerator. Reheat gently on the stovetop before serving.
