Ingredients

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper freshly cracked

Equipment

  • 1 Baking Sheet
  • 1 Large Bowl

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash, dry, and trim the Brussels sprouts. Remove any outer damaged leaves and slice them in half lengthwise.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, kosher salt, and black pepper until they are evenly coated.
  4. Spread the sprouts in a single layer on a large baking sheet, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Roast for 25-30 minutes, tossing halfway, until tender and caramelized with crispy outer leaves.
  5. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

For Extra Crispy Sprouts: Ensure your sprouts are completely dry before seasoning. Do not overcrowd the pan; use two if necessary.
Flavor Variations: Toss with balsamic glaze, garlic powder and Parmesan, or crispy bacon after roasting.
